Leilani Flores Killed in Horrific SUV Crash on Westside [Tucson, AZ]

7-Year-Old Leilani Flores Dead and 1 Injured After Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Westside in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (February 26, 2024) – On Friday evening, a 7-year-old girl, Leilani Flores, died and another girl sustained injuries in a crash on the west side.

Reportedly, Flores and another girl were riding bicycles just before 5:30 p.m., heading north on the southbound side of the road within the community.

 A 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, making a left turn to head south, collided with them, Tucson Police reported in a news release.

After the collision, the Tahoe’s driver immediately stopped to provide aid. Emergency services transported Flores to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, where she was later pronounced dead. 

The second girl involved in the incident sustained minor injuries.

Tucson Police have confirmed that the Tahoe’s driver was not impaired during the accident. As of now, no charges or citations have been issued.

The investigation into the incident is still underway.
