Pedestrian Killed in Homeland Traffic Accident
Riverside County, CA (November 19, 2024) – 49-year-old Lefty Linscott was fatally hit by a vehicle on Highway 74 Friday night.
It was about 9:15 p.m. when the deadly pedestrian accident happened near the intersection with White Avenue in Homeland.
According to the authorities, Linscott was walking along the north shoulder when he ran south to cross the four-lane corridor into the path of a 2016 Hyundai Elantra.
The 32-year-old Hemet woman driving the Elantra did not have time to swerve to avoid the pedestrian.
As a result, the front end of the Elantra struck the man.
CHP officers said the Hemet woman immediately stopped and reported the accident.
Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing and the officers are asking anyone with information to contact the CHP Temecula office at 951-466-4300.
Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Lefty Linscott during this difficult time. Losing a loved one in such a tragic manner is deeply heartbreaking. We offer our sincere condolences and support to all affected by this tragedy.
