Leah Sulier Dies in Tragic 2-Vehicle Crash on Jackson Avenue [Joplin, MO]

Joplin, MO (July 20, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, 72-year-old Leah Sulier of Joplin died after a 2-vehicle collision on 2nd Street.

According to the Joplin Police Department, the fatal 2-vehicle collision happened around 2:15 p.m. at 2nd Street and Jackson Avenue.

Reports say that a southbound white Chevrolet passenger car collided with a westbound a silver Chrysler passenger vehicle.

Authorities say that Sulier was driving the Chevy and she suffered major injuries due to the collision, medics rushed her to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

Authorities are investigating the fatal crash and have not released further details at this time.
