DUI Driver Suspect in Fatal Collision near State Highway 230
TUCSON, AZ (January 18, 2020) – The authorities confirmed that Lawrence Sofaly, 74, died in a multi-car crash on 10 Freeway on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the incident happened near State Highway 230. In addition, reports showed that a suspected DUI driver was involved in the three-vehicle incident.
Arizona DPS said investigators said that aside from Sofaly, there were two other victims who sustained injuries.
The roadway closed for almost nine hours while clearing and rescue operations were ongoing.
