Lavonda Mosley Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash on Elm Avenue
Fresno, CA (March 6, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash on Elm Avenue left Lavonda Mosley, 55, dead on Friday night.
The incident took place on March 5 on Elm and Grove Avenue near Grove at about 7:15 p.m.
Responding officials arrived at the scene after receiving a report that a vehicle had struck a woman.
Officials found the woman lying on the road and later pronounced her dead at the scene.
According to the witnesses, Ms. Mosley was crossing North Elm when a light grey sedan hit her. Furthermore, witnesses said that the vehicle immediately fled the scene.
The investigation found out that the driver was traveling 80 mph when it hit the woman.
As of now, the Fresno Police Department is still investigating the incident. Furthermore, police said that the driver will be charged with felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.
