1 Dead in Tucson Bicycle Crash
TUCSON, AZ (October 10, 2019) – A Sierra Vista died after a bicycle crash on Highway 92 on October 7.
53-year-old Laura Ann Snyder died after a vehicle struck her while she rode her bike on South Highway 92 and Kachina Trail.
The Sierra Vista Police Department came to the scene at 6:42 p.m. According to some witnesses, a gray Honda four-door sedan traveled north on Highway 92 when the crash happened.
As the Honda drove through the intersection, Laura Ann Snyder rode across the crosswalk against the light. The honda then hit Snyder. Responders took the female bicyclist to Canyon Vista Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old driver received citations for failing to wear corrective lenses.
