4 Dead in Rio Vista Auto Accident on State Route 12 near Summerset Road

 
RIO VISTA, CA (July 28, 2002) – Wednesday, Laura Poiret died in a head-on crash on State Route 12 near Summerset Road.
 
The incident happened at about 8:00 p.m. on State Route 12 between Summerset Road and Church Road.
 
According to reports, the crash involved a 2003 Honda Accord, with three occupants, and a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban, with seven occupants
 
As a result of the crash, the Honda’s three occupants died at the scene. The deceased included a 20-year-old man from Rancho Cordova, a 19-year-old woman from Vacaville, and a “Jane Doe”.
 
Moreover, 70-year-old Suburban occupant, Laura Poiret of Mexico, also died at the scene.
 
According to reports, the Honda veered off the road as it headed west on Highway 12 and over-corrected. Then, it ended up in the eastbound land and crashed with the Suburban.
 
Then, the impact ejected the driver and the rear passenger of the Honda.
 
Moreover, officers found several open alcoholic beverages in the Honda. However, they haven’t confirmed whether the driver was under the influence.
