Laura Patricia Ortega Dies after Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Flowing Wells Road in Tucson

Tucson, AZ  (December 20, 2022) – Tuesday morning, 46-year-old Laura Patricia Ortega died in a crash on Flowing Wells Road.

The fatal crash happened d just before 5 a.m. on December 20.

Tucson Police responded in the 3900 block of North Flowing Wells Road.

Initial investigation revealed that a 2017 Ram Promaster 1500 hit Ortega. She sustained fatal injuries.

The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

Investigators said the driver did not show any signs of impairment. Moreover, Ortega was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.

No other information is immediately available.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
