42-Year-Old Larry Kirby Fatally Struck on Saratoga Avenue in Ventura

 
Ventura, CA (April 30, 2020) – Late Tuesday afternoon on April 28, Larry Kirby was killed in a pedestrian accident on Thille Street.
 
The incident was reported shortly before 6:00 p.m., on April 28. Ventura Police Department responded to the scene in a park near Thille Street shortly after.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle told the authorities that they hit the pedestrian in a nearby park on Thille Street and Saratoga Avenue.
 
Emergency responders said that the driver called 911 for assistance and later gave the victim medical aid for the sustained injuries.
 
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim on Wednesday as 42-year-old Kirby, of Ventura.
 
Officers, paramedics, and the fire department teamed up to further treat Kirby. They then transported him to a nearby hospital before he later died while undergoing treatment.
 
Medics say his cause of death was a blunt force head injury. Authorities also said that neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the incident.
 
Police are asking for witnesses to call the department’s motor unit at 805-339-4451.
