CHP Investigates a Multi-Vehicle Crash in the Circle-K Gas Station in Morongo Valley
Morongo Valley, CA (June 17, 2021) – Wednesday night, Lara Johnson, 32 of Palm Desert, and Gabriela Herrera, 23 of Joshua Tree were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash in the Circle-K Gas Station.
The multi-vehicle crash in Morongo Valley happened at around 9 p.m. on June 16.
The California Highway Patrol said that Frank Herrera, 20 of Joshua Tree was driving a blue 1998 Dodge Ram eastbound, with passengers Gabriela Herrera and a 15-year-old juvenile male, and made a left turn to enter the Circle-K gas station.
Herrera’s vehicle was then struck by a 2017 Silver Honda Civic heading westbound driven by Johnson.
CHP and medical personnel responded to the scene and transported Gabriela Herrera and Johnson to Desert Regional Medical Center for reports of pain.
Reportedly, all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts.
The collision remains under investigation.
