Injuries Sustained in Encino Motorcycle and Bicycle Collision on Burbank Boulevard
ENCINO, CA (July 23, 2019) – An LAPD motorcycle officer and a bicyclist sustained injuries in a collision on Burbank Boulevard on July 21.
The crash happened in the 16400 block of West Burbank Boulevard just after noon, said Los Angeles Police officer Jeff Lee. However, police do not know which party is at fault or what lead to the crash.
Responders transported the motor officer and cyclist to a local trauma center. However, the bicyclist was in critical condition, the LAFD reported. According to the LAPD, the injuries are not considered life-threatening. The cyclist suffered a broken bone. In addition, the officer suffered minor injuries.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
