No Injuries in Palm Springs Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 and North Gene Autry Trail

PALM SPRINGS, CA (May 23, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a startling auto accident on Interstate 10 and North Gene Autry Trail shut down lanes.

The crash occurred just before 9:00 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 at North Gene Autry Trail.

According to reports, an SUV crashed into a tractor-trailer hauling a mobile home.

The agency reported that a Jeep collided with a semi-truck towing a mobile home trailer, ending up underneath the larger vehicle. Riverside County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and provided immediate treatment.

It is currently unknown if anyone was transported to a hospital.

CHP officers closed at least two eastbound lanes and the Gene Autry entrance ramp to facilitate the wreckage removal. As of 10:15 a.m., the lane closures were lifted, but the ramp remained closed.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
