Two Cars Involved in Rear-End Crash on 5 Freeway
SYLMAR, CA (July 14, 2019) – Lanes closed after a multi-car crash on southbound 5 Freeway, Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place just north of 210 Freeway around 9:30 PM. Based on an initial report, a Hyundai Accent, a gray Toyota Camry, and a gray Jeep Cherokee were involved in the pile-up.
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding any injuries sustained by the involved motorists.
The Accent sustained major front-end damage, while the Camry was seen with major rear-end damage. In addition, all lanes shut down for approximately 30 minutes while fire officials cleared the scene.
