DUI Driver Involved in Possible Solo Collision near 5th Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 30, 2018) – Lanes were closed after a DUI crash on westbound 80 Freeway, Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 4:43 AM, near the 5th Street off-ramp. Based on their report, the involved was a gold 4D Toyota Highlander with two car plates. No other party was recovered at the scene.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding any injury sustained in the incident.
The westbound lanes to the off-ramp were closed while a clearing operation was conducted in the area. The officers arrested the driver of the vehicle. He was booked into San Francisco City Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. An investigation is ongoing to verify all initial data, and additional information will be released once it becomes available.
