Bellingham Auto Accident on Interstate 5 and N Lake Samish Drive
BELLINGHAM, WA (April 29, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, a crash on Interstate 5 and N Lake Samish Drive led to lanes closure.
The first responders came to the scene at around 3:55 p.m. Moreover, the incident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5. The crash scene is about 3 miles north of the N Lake Samish interchange.
By 4:05 p.m., all lanes were closed which caused several miles long back up.
By 4:40 p.m., the Washington State Patrol confirmed that they reopened one lane through the crash scene.
Meanwhile, both lanes had reopened by 5:15 p.m.
At this time, the circumstances that have led up to the crash remain unclear.
