One Killed in Lake Pedestrian Accident
LAKEWOOD, WA (November 16, 2018) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car at 86th Street and Bridgeport Way on Wednesday, November 14.
Police said the fatal collision unfolded at about 12:20 p.m. at the junction of 86th Street and Bridgeport Way in Lakewood. It appeared that a pedestrian, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was walking near the said area when he was hit by an SUV for unknown reasons.
An emergency team was requested to assist the victim. All life-saving efforts were made, but the pedestrian did not survive and was declared dead at the scene.
All lanes in the northbound side of Bridgeport Way were temporarily closed as authorities investigate.
No further details were provided. The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
