Mother and Daughter Dead, Son Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 168 at Vineyard Lane
PRATHER, CA (June 22, 2019) – A mother and a daughter died following a rollover crash Saturday morning in Prather.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office has released the identities of the victims as Laci Wilson, 28, and her 8-year-old daughter Reagan Wilson of Prather.
Laci Wilson’s 4-year-old son suffered major injuries. As a result, paramedics airlifted him to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The crash happened just before 10:00 a.m. on Highway 168 near Vineyard Lane. According to reports, Laci Wilson was driving a white GMC Yukon approaching a curve in the highway when she veered up the embankment, causing her vehicle to flip over on its left side. The GMC then began to slide across the highway, crossing over into other lanes of traffic.
Because of how the GMC landed, the driver of a 2019 Ford F-150 heading westbound on the highway did not have enough time to react and crashed into the front window/roof of the SUV.
As a result, Wilson and her female juvenile passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Police and firefighters had to cut the 4-year-old boy out of the SUV.
The woman driving the pickup truck was left with moderate injuries.
Further investigation is underway.
We would like to share our comfort and well-wishes to the family and friends of Laci Wilson and Reagan Wilson.
