34-Year-Old Man Hospitalized when Struck by Car on Old Pacific Highway SE
LACEY, WA (January 20, 2018) – A 34-year-old man was hit by a vehicle while walking on the Old Pacific Highway near Kuhlman Road on Saturday morning, around 7:12 AM.
Witnesses say that the man was strolling in the middle of highway and dressed in dark clothing, when he was hit by a northbound Mazda Protege.
Deputies and emergency personnel responded to the scene of the accident. According to Sgt. Carla Carter, the victim had traumatic injuries. He was treated at the scene by medic from the Lacey Fire District 3, then taken to St. Peter Hospital. His condition is considered serious at this time.
It is unclear whether or not charges will be filed. No other information has been released at this time.
