WSP Searching Suspect in Hit-and-Run Collision near Ephrata Municipal Airport
Ephrata, WA (September 9, 2023) On Friday morning, 30-year-old Lacey Harris of Moses Lake suffered serious injuries after a pedestrian crash on State Route 282.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the hit-and-run collision happened between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on SR 282 across the field from the Ephrata Municipal Airport.
Reports say that a passenger vehicle hit and injures Harris. Officials say that the driver of the unidentified vehicle briefly stopped, however fled the scene eastwards toward Moses Lake.
Officials say that Harris was able to identify the driver as male, additional information is not available at this time.
Medics airlifted the victim to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.
WSP is investigating the hit-and-run crash and are actively searching for the suspect and vehicle who remains at large.
