55-Year-Old Man Dead in Victorville Accident on Village Drive and Clovis Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 8, 2022) – Sunday night, authorities arrested Lacey Cecenthia Vickers after a deadly crash on Village Drive and Clovis Street.
The incident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on Village Drive and Clovis Street.
According to reports, responders pulled 30-year-old Lacey Cecenthia Vickers of Barstow from her burning Jeep SUV.
Meanwhile, a Victorville man died at the scene. The investigators revealed that the man drove a southbound Cadillac sedan on Village Drive. Then, he collided head-on with Vickers. According to reports, Vickers drove south in her Jeep, in the center lane of Village Drive, just south of Clovis Street.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
Meanwhile, Lacey Vickers suffered minor injuries in the crash and received treatment at a trauma center. Then, authorities arrested her on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence, causing death.
The authorities will book her at the West Valley Detention Center upon her release from the trauma center. Moreover, authorities confirmed that Vickers had been previously arrested on numerous occasions for DUI.
Also, the incident shut down all lanes of Village Drive between Llanada Avenue and Clovis Street for several hours during the investigation.
