SAUGUS, CA (June 15, 2022) – Tuesday, a LA County Sheriff’s deputy suffered injuries in a crash on Copper Hill Drive and Tupelo Ridge Road.
 
The incident happened at about 9:27 a.m. on Copper Hill Drive and Tupelo Ridge Road.
 
According to Deputy Liza Melgar, a spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the cause of the crash remains unknown.
 
“(The) deputy was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his moderate injuries,” Melgar said. “The incident is being investigated by traffic detectives.”
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
