72-year-old Kyung Shim Dead in Ridgecrest Accident on Highway 395
RIDGECREST, CA (October 21, 2020) – On Sunday afternoon, a crash on Highway 395 killed a woman later identified as Kyung Shim.
According to CHP, while driving a southbound Toyota Highlander, 72-year-old Kyung Shim made a left turn into a rest stop at about 4:39 p.m.
Kyung Shim apparently mistook a stop sign for a four-way stop and proceeded eastbound. As a result, a northbound vehicle struck her.
Responders transported 72-year-old Los Angeles resident Kyung Shim via medivac to Ridgecrest. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
