Kyle Erickson 1 of 4 Killed in Accident on Highway 80 East of Pomona Street
Crockett, CA (June 17, 2020) – According to CHP, four people, including Kyle Erickson, died after an SUV went off the Carquinez Bridge on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m, when multiple witnesses reported a vehicle careened off the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80.
Upon authorities’ arrival, they discovered four people in a Infiniti SUV died after the car went over the Carquinez Bridge, east of the Pomona Road exit.
The single vehicle accident killed 19-year-old Kyle Erickson, of Pittsburg.
Among him, Perla Navarro, 19, and Christopher Mota, 21, also succumbed to their injuries.
Moreover, the identity of the fourth victim is currently unknown.
As a result of the accident, the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office will perform the autopsies on the victim’s bodies.
It will not be known until later whether drugs or alcohol are factors in the fatal crash.
