Krystal Mobley and Huda Gubary Die in McHenry Avenue and Claribel Road Crash [Modesto, CA]

 

Multi-Vehicle Accident on North McHenry Avenue Leaves Krystal Mobley and Huda Gubary Dead

 
Modesto, CA (November 20, 2020) – A crash involving five vehicles on north McHenry Avenue left Krystal Mobley and Huda Gubary dead on Tuesday night.
 
The fatal crash happened on November 17 on McHenry Avenue and Claribel Road at about 7 PM.
 
California Highway Patrol Officer Thomas Olsen reported that a 27-year-old man was driving a Nissan Altima on north McHenry. The man reportedly ran a red light at Claribel with his 34-year-old passenger identified as Krystal Mobley.
 
Then, Huda Gubary, 46 of Salida driving a Lexus SUV broadsided the Nissan on the passenger side causing the Nissan to continue west. At the same time, the Lexus went in the northwest in the direction of three vehicles in the southbound lanes of McHenry waiting at the red light.
 
Moreover, the Lexus crashed into a Kia Sedan, before crashing into a Dodge pickup in the next lane. The impact caused a chain-reaction crash as the Dodge also collided with a Toyota sedan in the next lane.

Due to the impact of the crash, Mobley died at the scene while the driver was ejected from the vehicle and later died at the hospital. The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin. According to the report, both of them were residents of Modesto.
 
Furthermore, the investigation found out that both of them were not wearing their seatbelts before the incident happened.
 
Meanwhile, emergency personnel transported Gubary to the hospital for treatments.
 
Olsen said that the other vehicles involved sustained damages however, no other persons were reported to be injured.
 
Investigators are looking if weather, drugs, or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
