Kristyann Shawnae Welch Killed in Crash on Interstate 5 [Willows, CA]

Stockton Woman Identified as Woman Killed in Interstate 5 Crash

 
WILLOWS, CA (August 23, 2019) – Authorities identified 26-year-old Kristyann Shawnae Welch of Stockton as the woman killed in a traffic crash on Interstate 5, Friday.
 
According to the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driving on the northbound I-5 lane crashed due to undisclosed reasons. It is unknown whether or not other vehicles were involved in the fatal crash.
 
Unfortunately, a passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Welch, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, emergency responders transported other injured victims to hospitals outside of Glenn County.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
