High Desert Collision Kills Two Lucerne Valley Girls
High Desert, CA (April 10, 2022) – On Friday, Kristy Klaus and Kayden Davis, both 16-year-old Lucerne Valley girls, died in a vehicle collision on State Route 247.
It was about 9 p.m. when the incident took place at the intersection with Camp Rock Road.
Reports say, Christy Rees, Klaus’ grandmother was driving the vehicle with Klaus and Davis seated at the vehicle’s back seat.
Unfortunately, responding officers confirmed the death of Klaus and Davis. The paramedics, on the other hand, airlifted Rees in critical condition, and another driver from the accident scene. Also, an ambulance took another to a hospital.
Both Klaus and Davis were sophomores at Lucerne Valley Middle School.
Officers are investigating this fatal collision.
