BUTTE COUNTY, CA (July 6, 2021) – Monday morning, Kristopher Wilson of Oroville and Alfonso Madera of Sacramento died in a crash on Highway 70 and Rich Gulch Road.
 
According to reports, the crash occurred just after 3:00 a.m.
 
Moreover, the accident happened on Highway 70 between Rich Gulch Road and the bridge.
 
The authorities confirmed that the crash involved a Wilson’s Red Mazda and Madera’s 2016 Ford Focus. Also, both drivers solely occupied each vehicle.
 
At some point, Wilson driving eastbound and Madera driving westbound collided head-on.
 
The impact of the Butte County crash left Kristopher Wilson dead. Meanwhile, the Sacramento man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
 
Even so, Madera was later pronounced dead at Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
 
At about 6:00 a.m., the clean-up crews cleared the area and Highway 70 reopened.
 
At this time, the circumstances leading up to the deadly collision.
