2 People Dead in Phoenix Auto Accident on 19th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road

PHOENIX, AZ (October 27, 2024) – Friday afternoon, Kristina Lara and Josiah Lara died in a tragic two-vehicle crash on 19th Avenue.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 1:20 p.m. on 19th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

According to the Phoenix Police, a southbound silver sedan traveling at a high rate of speed accelerated on a yellow light. It collided with a black pickup truck attempting to make a left turn.

Moreover, responders rushed a 25-year-old female passenger of the sedan, identified as Lara, and her 2-month-old infant, Lara, to a hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported three other children to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Phoenix Police continued to investigate the crash.
