 Pedestrian Killed in Fresno Hit-And-Run Accident, Kong Vang Arrested

FRESNO, CA (July 12, 2021) – On Sunday, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Shields Avenue and Channing Way.

According to Fresno Police, the incident happened before midnight on Shields Avenue and Channing Way, near North Avenue.

Reports revealed that four vehicles struck a homeless man as he attempted to cross the road while carrying several items.

Furthermore, responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Later statements only describe two vehicles as a part of the deadly accident. Apparently, the first driver involved fled the scene, while the second driver remained with the victim.

As a result, officials asked anyone with information about the incident to contact Fresno police.

Subsequently, a tip lead to the arrest of 23-year-old Kong Vang. Police booked him into Fresno County Jail.
