Multiple Pedestrians Injured in Hemet Accident on Girard Street and Menlo Avenue
HEMET, CA (October 10, 2022) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Kody Ray Cihal after a pedestrian crash on Girard Street and Menlo Avenue.
The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Girard Street and Menlo Avenue.
According to police spokesman Alan Reyes, a car struck multiple pedestrians who just left a party in the area and were about the get into their vehicle. Then, the force of the crash trapped two female victims under a pickup.
Moreover, responding officers extricated the two female victims using a jack to lift the vehicle.
Reports revealed that a total of six people sustained injuries in the crash, including a 6-year-old.
Furthermore, officers arrested the vehicle driver, Kody Ray Cihal, on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under active investigation.
