70-Year-Old Danish Killed in State Route 62 Pedestrian Collision

Yucca Valley, CA (October 24, 2022) On Sunday Evening, 70-year-old Knuderik Rasmussen from Denmark died in a pedestrian crash on State Route 62.

Authorities say that the fatal pedestrian collision happebed around 8:48 p.m. SR-62 (Twentynine Palms Highway) and Dumosa Avenue.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department say that a Dodge Ram pickup truck struck Rasmussen while the man was crossing outside a crosswalk.

Paramedics transported Rasmussen to the hospital with serious injuries. Furthermore, Rasumssen succumbed to his injuries and officials pronounced him dead at the hospital.

Reports say that impairment did not play a factor in the State Route 62 pedestrian collision.

Officials are investigating the crash and have not released further details at this time.
