Man Dead in Everett Pedestrian Accident on State Route 99 and Lincoln Way

EVERETT, WA (December 4, 2022) – Saturday morning, a Kirkland RV employee died in a crash on State Route 99 and Lincoln Way.

The incident happened just after 8:30 a.m. on State Route 99 and Lincoln Way.

According to reports, a driver went off the road and struck a 40-year-old man shoveling snow.

“He was shoveling snow which is an access point for their business … The car was going Northbound on State Route 99, went off the road, and struck him, and unfortunately, he died from the collision,” said WSP Sgt. Rocky Oliphant.

Then, the driver fled and wrecked several recreational vehicles in doing so.

“Suspect vehicle continued up onto the road behind me here, and the driver fled on foot,” added Oliphant. At this time, the authorities haven’t determined whether speed or road conditions played a role in the crash.

“We’re reviewing all the surrounding businesses’ surveillance videos. We’re kind of making sure we investigate every possible lead that there is,” said Oliphant.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them and speak up.
