54-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver at Parker Avenue and Oriole Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 1, 2020) – A man was killed in pedestrian hit-and-run crash early Wednesday morning in Bakersfield.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. in the area of Parker Avenue and Oriole Street.
According to Bakersfield police, a male pedestrian was struck by a car and was found lying in the roadway. Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he later died.
Authorities identified the victim as 54-year-old Kirk Conlin Parish.
The driver that struck the man did not stop to render aid.
Police are still on the lookout for the suspect. They say the car involved was a Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger. It had black and gray two-tone paint.
