Kirk Brown of Redding Injured in Highway 99 Fatal Collision [Tehama County, CA]

Tehama County, CA (March 23, 2024) – Kirk Brown, 54, of Redding, was injured following a Highway 99 collision Friday morning.

CHP officers said a 35-year-old Redding man was driving a northbound 2015 Nissan Sentra on the freeway when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane.

The Nissan collided head-on with a southbound 2019 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Brown.

Responding rescuers extricated both drivers from their vehicles and airlifted the Nissan driver to Enloe Hospital where he was later declared deceased.

Brown incurred major injuries and was taken by ground to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. 

Red Bluff CHP Office is investigating this fatal crash.
