Kira Jumper of Redding Dies in Fog Related Crash on Highway 99

 
OROVILLE, CA (November 15, 2020) – On Saturday, Kira Jumper and 4 others died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 99 and Hinamin Drive cause by heavy fog.
 
Several big rigs and passenger vehicles took part in the deadly crash.
 
Indeed, the fatal accident occurred on Highway 99, south of Hinamin Drive, between Gridley and Biggs.
 
Furthermore, the incident also sent two patients to the hospital with minor to major injuries.
 
At this time, the crash involving ten vehicles amid a thick fog remained under investigation.
 
However, the CHP confirmed that low visibility due to heavy fog in the area played a role in the crash.
 
Furthermore, the National Weather Service confirmed that fog covered much of the valley overnight.
 
On Wednesday, the Butte County Sheriff’s Department released the names of those who sustained fatal injuries on November 14.
 
This included 19-year-old Kira Jumper, of Redding, California.
