Hongchul Jun Arrested for Suspected DUI and Vehicular Manslaughter
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 29, 2018) – A DUI Collision in the area of Harbor Gateway claimed the life of a woman, on Sunday evening. The victim was identified as 43-year-old Kira Deleon.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision happened around 7:40 PM at the intersection of Western Avenue and 182nd Street. A vehicle, driven by 55-year-old Hongchul Jun, did not stop for a red light and struck Deleon’s vehicle.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate Deleon from the wreckage. She was rushed to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, where she was later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, authorities arrested Jun at the scene and booked him into jail on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
