Woman Putting Chains on Her Car Hit by Another Vehicle on 80 Freeway in Kingvale

 
KINGVALE, CA (March 27, 2019) – A woman was injured after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Kingvale, the California Highway Patrol reported.
 
The incident happened around 7:36 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of 80 Freeway, just West of Truckee.
 
CHP officials said the woman was putting chains on her car when an oncoming vehicle struck her. The impact caused the woman to be thrown away and went underneath a truck.
 
The responsible motorist took the woman to a hospital to receive proper treatment. The extent of injuries sustained and the condition of the victim were not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. Further investigation is underway.
