Columbia, MO (October 5, 2024) On Friday morning, 18-year-old Killian Walker of Macon lost his life in a horrific DWI crash on West Old Plank Road.
According to Columbia police (CPD), the fatal collision happened at about 2:06 a.m. in the 800 block of Old Plank Road.
Reports say that Walker, tragically lost his life in the car crash when a vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Ty Xeven Raine Frey, also from Macon, veered off the road and struck a tree.
Columbia police reported that Frey faces charges of first-degree involuntary manslaughter, careless driving, and being a minor visibly intoxicated with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.02%. A breath test conducted at the scene indicated a preliminary result of 0.070%. Police also discovered an empty 750 mL bottle of Hennessy in the car.
Two other passengers, along with Frey, sustained minor injuries. According to court documents, the crash was high-speed, with the car’s bumper ripped off and thrown 30 yards behind the vehicle. Investigators noted no signs of brakes being applied before the collision.
Old Plank Road remained closed for several hours while police investigated the scene, reopening just before 6:30 a.m.
