Head-On Collision on Highway 29 Left Kevin Young and Eric Valencia Jr. Hospitalized
Calistoga Valley, CA (July 9, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash on Azalea Springs Road left two people injured on Thursday morning.
The collision happened on July 8 on Highway 29 Azalea Springs Road around 6:30 a.m.
California Highway Patrol spokesperson Marc Renspurger reported that at least two vehicles were involved in the collision. A 2011 Ford Mustang was traveling north of Azalea Springs Road when suddenly, it collided head-on with a 2015 GMC Sierra.
The driver of the Ford identified as Kevin Young, 33, of Windsor suffered major injuries from the incident. Furthermore, the driver of the GMC Sierra identified as Eric Valencia Jr., 33, sustained minor injuries.
Medics transported both of them to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center. However, there have been no updates regarding their current conditions.
Meanwhile, authorities closed Highway 29 due to the extent of the collision. At around 8 a.m., the Highway reopened according to the CHP’s online incident log.
