One Dies in Street Racing Accident Near Beardslee Road
BOTHELL, WA (September 18, 2019) – 30-year-old Kevin Vaughn was killed in a DUI crash on Highway 152 on Wednesday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened near Beardslee Road before 8:30 PM. Based on a report, the victim raced against a suspected impaired driver of an Acura in adjacent lanes. After that, the Acura crossed into his lane and caused the fatal crash.
Both vehicles went across the freeway and into the left shoulder.
Paramedics arrived to the scene. After that, they pronounced Vaughn dead at the scene. The driver of the Acura, 42-year-old Jaawan Woodruff, suffered minor injuries.
At the scene, troopers determined Woodruff was under the influence because he smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. He was arrested for investigation of DUI and Vehicular Homicide. No further information has been released to the public.
