32-Year-Old El Monte Man Dies in Pedestrian Crash near Maine Avenue
IRWINDALE, CA (October 16, 2018) – On Tuesday night, a man was killed in a pedestrian crash on the westbound Arrow Highway. He was later identified as 32-year-old Kevin Daniel Martinez Ruiz of El Monte.
As per reports, the collision took place on the highway around 8:50 PM, just east of Maine Avenue. According to officials with the Irwindale Police Department, Ruiz was not in a marked crosswalk when the collision occurred.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced Ruiz dead at the scene. after he succumbed t multiple serious injuries. The driver remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with authorities during their investigation.
