1 Detained after Sonora Accident on Murphy Road and Lime Kiln Road
SONORA, CA (January 28, 2021) – Last Tuesday, authorities arrested Kevin Burback after a crash on Murphy Road and Lime Kiln Road.
According to reports, 27-year-old Kevin Burback of Sonora drove a 1992 Toyota pickup. He traveled west on Murphy Road, east of Lime Kiln Road at an unknown speed. Meanwhile, 32-year-old Matthew Cody Davis of Sonora drove from the opposite direction. He traveled in a 2004 GMC Sierra while towing a trail at 5 miles per hour.
When the two trucks passed each other, Burback’s vehicle veered into the left rear of Davis’ trailer.
Moreover, CHP spokesperson Steve Machado said, “After the impact, Burback continued westbound when his vehicle became disabled against an embankment. An uninvolved 59-year-old male from Sonora contacted Burback and a physical altercation occurred. CHP Officer’s arrived at the scene and determined Burback was driving under influence of an alcoholic beverage and placed under arrest.”
The authorities arrested Kevin Burback for DUI, assault, and battery.
