Cyclist Kerry Wiltzius Fatally Struck in State Route 206 DUI Crash
Spokane, WA (July 3, 2020)– The cyclist Kerry R. Wiltzius who was struck in a DUI crash on State Route 206 last week died.
Wiltzius was the cyclist victim of the crash that took place on June 26 in Spokane. The Washington State Patrol said that a vehicle from behind struck Wiltzius that led her to be hospitalized.
Wiltzius was airlifted to Sacred Heart where she reportedly succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, the suspect was identified as Jonathan D. Ryser from Coeur d’Alene. Reports said that Ryser was driving under the influence of marijuana thus, he failed to yield to Wiltzius. Ryser did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
However, he was arrested for a charge of vehicular assault.
