Vehicle Crash on Old River Road Kills Sacramento Man Kent Lang

 
Sacramento, CA (September 11, 2020) – On Wednesday, two Sacramento men, including 76-year-old Kent Lang, were killed in a head-on crash on Old River Road.
 
The fatal Sacramento accident happened after 6:00 p.m. near County Road 124.
 
The California Highway Patrol said a 2016 Ford Fusion, driven by 59-year-old Francisco Clyde Tidwell Lopez, was speeding north on Old River Road when it partially crossed into the oncoming lane.
 
Then, it collided head-on into a southbound 2017 Ford F-150 driven by Mr. Lang.
 
The authorities pronounced the sedan driver, 59-year-old Lopez of West Sacramento, dead at the scene.
 
Moreover, the medics team airlifted the pickup driver, Kent Lang, also of West Sacramento, to the UC Davis Medical Center. However, authorities soon after pronounced him dead.
 
Meanwhile, rescuers also took the female pick-up passenger who suffered moderate injuries to UC Davis Medical Center by ambulance.
 
Investigators said the Fusion driver was driving recklessly at a fast speed. It was also passing other drivers unsafely leading up to the crash.
 
The Woodland Area CHP Office continues to investigate the incident.
