Homeless Man Killed in Fullerton Collision
Fullerton, CA (June 27, 2022) – On Monday, Kenneth Wassennar II, a 38-year-old homeless man, sustained fatal injuries in a Southgate Avenue hit-and-run crash.
The authorities received the crash report at about 1:30 a.m. at the intersection with South Harbor Boulevard.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they located the victim lying in the street with several serious injuries.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed Kenneth Wassennar II to a nearby hospital where he died.
According to the investigators, the victim was pushing a shopping cart on a crosswalk when a white Dodge Charger, which had a green light, struck him. The driver drove away.
Then, seconds later, a black Jeep Wrangler, also struck the man and the driver did not stop.
Minutes later, a white two-door Honda Civic struck the victim and also did not stop.
Officers are still investigating the Fullerton collision.
