East Wenatchee, WA (September 24, 2021) – On Tuesday, 88-year-old Kenneth Uptain, and 86-year-old Beverly Uptain, both from Othello, suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 28.

The accident took place minutes before 5 p.m. near Nile Street.

61-year-old Roland Morris of East Wenatchee pulled his 2008 Ford Taurus onto the highway. His vehicle crashed with a westbound 2019 Honda Odyssey being driven by Kenneth Uptain.

Rescuers rushed Kenneth and Beverly to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Roland sustained a possible broken wrist while Beverly suffered possible broken ribs.

Similarly, Morris suffered minor injuries. Rescuers took him to a hospital.

Reports said Morris faces possible charges of vehicular assault, drunken driving, driving with a suspended license and failure to have an interlock device on his vehicle.

Morris’ vehicle struck a pole after the crash and ended up in a westbound ditch.

On the other hand, the Odyssey driven by Uptain ended up in the eastbound ditch.
