51-Year-Old Long Beach Man Identified as Pedestrian Killed near 16th Street
LONG BEACH, CA (June 2, 2019) – Authorities identified 51-year-old Kenneth Mabray of Long Beach as the pedestrian killed near 16th Street, Sunday evening.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened on Santa Fe Avenue, at about 10:00 PM. Mabray attempted to cross outside of a marked crosswalk when a northbound vehicle struck him.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital, where he died four hours after the collision. Meanwhile, the unidentified driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
