Kelly Chadic Dead in Gaviota Coast Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101
SANTA BARBARA, CA (November 8, 2020) – Friday night, a pedestrian, Kelly Chadic, 50, died in an accident on Highway 101 and El Capitan Ranch on Gaviota Coast.
The incident happened just before 8:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes south of El Capitan Ranch.
When the authorities arrived at the scene, they pronounced the Lompoc resident dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the officers revealed that the man was heading north when he went into the traffic lanes. Then, the vehicle struck and killed him.
According to authorities, 60-year-old Jerry Hartmann of Solvang drove the vehicle that struck Chadic.
The authorities closed Highway 101 after the fatal pedestrian crash.
At this time, the authorities haven’t released any information about the driver of the car that hit the man.
Due to limited information, the authorities continue to investigate the fatal pedestrian accident.
