Keith Reed Fatally Hurt after Tucson Traffic Accident
TUCSON, AZ (October 30, 2019) – A 51-year-old man identified as Keith Russell Reed died after a traffic accident on Monday, October 21.
According to Tucson police news, Reed drove a 2016 Hyundai Tucson northbound on Alvernon Way near 22nd Street. Then a westbound 2010 Nissan Maxima approached the intersection with a green light signal.
Reed failed to stop at the red light. He drove in front of the Nissan Maxima when the accident happened at around 4:40 a.m., police said.
Emergency responders transported Reed to Banner University Medical Center in critical condition. A passenger in his vehicle also sustained serious injuries.
A DUI officer responded to the hospital and found out that Reed was impaired when the accident happened. The other driver was not impaired, according to a news release.
Reed succumbed to his life-threatening injuries on Saturday, October 26.
