3 Injured in Fatal 3-Vehicle Crash on Kitching Street

Moreno Valley, CA (February 7, 2024) Keiana Bridgeforth, 50, of Menifee, and Isaac Piza, 25, of San Bernardino, were killed following a Cactus Avenue collision Monday night.

The fatal 3-vehicle crash unfolded at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection with Kitching Street.

Officers said two Dodge Ram pickups and a Lexus sedan collided during a rainstorm.

According to the authorities, one of the pickups carrying Piza and a friend careened into the flood channel adjacent to Cactus Avenue. Piza was ejected from the vehicle while his passenger remained inside.

Good Samaritans safely extricated the passenger with unspecified non-life-threatening injuries.

Moreover, Piza floated southbound in the channel until rescuers recovered his body near the intersection of Evans Road and the Ramona Expressway. Officers are still investigating if he died in the collision or drowned.

Bridgeforth was driving the Lexus and was declared deceased at the scene.

The occupants of the other Dodge pickup sustained minor injuries and were not transported.

Troopers are investigating the cause of this accident.
